Volleyball Seniors Honored at Year-End Banquet
Head Coach Erin Appleman and the Yale volleyball team hosted their year-end banquet on Saturday evening, celebrating a program-best 21-4 record from the 2009 season as well as the careers of an accomplished five-member senior class. The banquet, held in the varsity room of the Ray Tompkins House, also recognized senior Cat Dailey as the Bulldogs’ Most Valuable Player and freshman Kerry Clavadetscher as Most Improved Player, while senior Alexis Crusey claimed the Coaches’ Award.

Bulldogs Earn Honorable Mention for CVU.com Deep Digging Team of the Year Award
Coming off of a 21-4 mark in 2009, the best record in program history, the Yale volleyball team has been recognized by College Volleyball Update (CVU.com) as an Honorable Mention for its Deep Digging Team of the Year Award. The Bulldogs, who also earned Honorable Mention status in 2005, led the Ivy League and ranked fourth in Division I with 18.58 digs per set.

Appleman Announces Volleyball Class of 2014
Head Coach Erin Appleman has announced four new additions to the Yale volleyball team, beginning in the 2010 season. All four student-athletes have excelled on the national stage with high-profile club programs in addition to their stellar high school careers. The Class of 2014 features Kendall Polan, the first Under Armor High School All-America player in Yale history, as well as highly-touted scholastic and club players McHaney Carter, Gina Finke and Erica Reetz.

Kelly Ozurovich Elected Yale Volleyball Captain
Head Coach Erin Appleman has announced that Kelly Ozurovich ’11 will serve as captain of Yale Volleyball for the 2010 season, as decided by a team vote. Ozurovich, a libero from Playa del Ray, Calif., has earned All-Ivy recognition in all three of her seasons in a Bulldogs’ uniform.

Cat Dailey Earns AVCA Regional Honor
After earning First Team All-Ivy honors in her senior season with the Yale volleyball team, Cat Dailey has been recognized by the American Volleyball Coaches Association as an Honorable Mention on the All-Northeast Region Team. Dailey, who earned the same distinction in 2008, led the Ivy League this season with 4.04 kills per set.

Ten Bulldogs Earn Fall Academic All-Ivy Honors
Ten Yale student-athletes were honored today, as the Ivy League released its list of those selected for Academic All-Ivy recognition in fall sports. Eligible student-athletes include all starters or key reserves on officially recognized varsity teams that have maintained a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

Yale Lands Five on All-Ivy Team; Crusey and Dailey Earn First Team Honors
On the heels of an 11-3, second-place finish in the Ivy League, the Yale volleyball team has placed five players on the All-Ivy team, as announced today by the league office. Seniors Alexis Crusey and Cat Dailey each claimed First Team honors, while sophomore Bridget Hearst landed on the Second Team. Junior Kelly Ozurovich and freshman Kerry Clavadetscher each picked up Honorable Mention nods to round out the quintet of Yale honorees.

Bulldogs Close 2009 With Sweep at Brown
In the final match of her collegiate career, senior Alexis Crusey took sole possession of third place on the Yale all-time kills list as the Bulldogs swept Brown in Providence, R.I. on Tuesday evening to close out the 2009 season. Senior Cat Dailey led all players with 13 kills and 25 digs, her 12th double-double of the season and third in a row, to lead Yale to victory by set scores of 29-27, 25-13 and 25-18.

Cat Dailey Named Ivy League Player of the Week
For the second week this season, senior Cat Dailey of the Yale volleyball team has been recognized by the Ivy League as its Player of the Week. Dailey averaged 4.17 kills with a scorching .489 (25-3-45) hitting percentage in six sets of action this past weekend as the Bulldogs swept Ivy League foes Columbia and Cornell. She was also a force in the back row of the Yale set, piling up 4.17 digs per frame and landing six service aces en route to earning her 10th and 11th double-doubles of the season.

Regular Season Wraps Up at Brown
Twenty-four matches, twenty wins and three tournament titles after it began, the Yale volleyball team will close out the 2009 regular season on Tuesday with a trip to Providence, R.I. to challenge Brown in a 7 p.m. Ivy League tilt. The Bulldogs, who enter the contest at 20-4 overall and 10-3 in Ivy League play, would record the best winning percentage in program history with a victory over the Bears.

Bulldogs Pound Cornell in Senior Day Sweep
Senior Cat Dailey hit a scorching .500, tallying 12 kills and 13 digs to lead the Yale volleyball team to an impressive sweep of Cornell on Saturday at the John J. Lee Amphitheater in New Haven. Dailey’s double-double, her 11th of 2009, led an well-rounded Bulldogs’ attack as they took the match by set scores of 25-14, 25-15 and 25-11.

Seniors’ Last Stand: Bulldogs Host Columbia and Cornell in Final Home Weekend
With the 2009 regular season coming to a close, the Bulldog faithful will have one more weekend to cheer for the Yale volleyball team as Columbia and Cornell visit the John J. Lee Amphitheater for the season’s final home matches. The Friday match with the Lions and Saturday’s showdown against Big Red are both slated for a 4 p.m. first serve. Yale enters the weekend at 18-4 overall and 8-3 in Ivy League play.

Eight Players Record Kills as Bulldogs Sweep Columbia
Though the math may not be on the Yale volleyball team’s side as far as repeating as Ivy League Champion, the Bulldogs certainly played like a team on a mission on Friday, sweeping past Columbia at the John J. Lee Amphitheater in New Haven by set scores of 25-11, 25-12 and 25-18. Yale got kills from eight different players, led by 13 from senior Cat Dailey, in the straight-set victory.

Dartmouth Downs Bulldogs, 3-1
Senior Alexis Crusey recorded her fourth consecutive double-double and junior libero Kelly Ozurovich had a match- and season-high 31 digs, but the Yale volleyball team fell short on Saturday afternoon at Dartmouth, dropping a four-set decision to Big Green by set scores of 20-25, 25-13, 25-23 and 25-20. Crusey and Ozurovich both passed Phoebe Dann ’98 to move into a tie for seventh place on the Bulldogs’ career digs list with 1,190 each.

Bulldogs Outlast Harvard, 3-2
In recent years, the Yale and Harvard volleyball teams have made it a habit of playing at least one five-set match per season. Friday night’s showdown in Cambridge was yet another encounter for the record books, as the Bulldogs outlasted their historic rival in five frames by set scores of 20-25, 25-21, 25-17, 16-25, 19-17. Senior Alexis Crusey had a pair of match highs with 22 kills and 26 digs, and senior Cat Dailey added 21 kills and 20 digs to lead Yale to its 12th straight victory over the Crimson.

Harvard, Dartmouth Await Bulldogs This Weekend
Last Friday night’s loss at unbeaten Penn may have dampened hopes of repeating as Ivy League Champions, but the Yale volleyball team looks to keep on the heels of the 9-0 Quakers this weekend with a pair of Ancient Eight matches at Harvard and Dartmouth. The Bulldogs sit at 7-2 in the Ivy League, two matches behind Penn with five left to play, and 17-3 overall in 2009.

Cat Dailey Named to ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District First Team
Senior outside hitter Cat Dailey of the Yale volleyball team has been selected to the ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District First Team, as announced today by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). The Newport Beach, Calif. native currently leads the Ivy League with 4.12 kills per set and ranks in the Ancient Eight top 10 in hitting percentage, digs and service aces.

Bulldogs Hammer Princeton, 3-0
After dropping a tough four-set battle at Penn last night, the Yale volleyball team bounced back on Saturday afternoon with a convincing sweep of Princeton at Dillon Gymnasium. Senior Alexis Crusey notched her second consecutive double-double with 10 kills and 11 digs as the Bulldogs took the match by set scores of 25-12, 25-16 and 25-21. Sophomore Bridget Hearst led all players with 11 kills on 19 errorless swings.

Unbeaten Penn, Princeton Host Bulldogs This Weekend
With the 2009 Ivy League season now halfway gone, the Yale volleyball team (16-2, 6-1 Ivy) enters the weekend in second place in the Ancient Eight, trailing unbeaten Penn (16-4, 7-0 Ivy) by one match. That single-match deficit won’t last long, however, as the Bulldogs begin this weekend’s action with a trip to the Palestra in Philadelphia for a showdown with the league-leading Quakers. Yale will then find itself either in a first-place tie or in the disadvantageous position of chasing Penn by two matches with six remaining on the Ivy League slate as the squad wraps up the weekend at Princeton (6-12, 4-3 Ivy) against the always dangerous Tigers.

Penn Edges Bulldogs, 3-1
Since the beginning of the 2008 season, the Yale volleyball team has posted a 19-3 record in Ivy League play. Including tonight’s contest at the Palestra in Philadelphia, all three of those defeats have come at the hands of one team: The Penn Quakers. The Bulldogs got double-doubles from seniors Alexis Crusey and Cat Dailey, and double-digit digs from four players in total, but Penn got the better of Yale tonight, taking the match in four sets by scores of 23-25, 25-20, 25-23 and 25-21.

After knocking off Cornell and Columbia in its first Ivy League road weekend to improve to 4-1 in Ancient Eight action, the Yale volleyball team returns to the familiar confines of the John J. Lee Amphitheater to host Dartmouth and Harvard in another crucial weekend of league competition. The Bulldogs, who are 14-2 overall in 2009, will challenge Big Green on Friday, Oct. 23 at 7 p.m. and will meet perennial rival Harvard on Oct. 24 for a 4 p.m. contest. Clavadetscher Claims Second Ivy League Rookie of the Week Honor
After playing an integral part in the Yale volleyball team’s 2-0 road weekend at Cornell and Columbia, Kerry Clavadetscher has been recognized by the Ivy League as its Rookie of the Week. The freshman setter, who averaged 12.86 assists per set in seven frames of action, has now earned the distinction in two of the past three weeks.

Bulldogs Complete First-Ever “Team Up to Fight Cancer” Initiative
The first-ever “Team Up to Fight Cancer” initiative, a cooperative effort of the Yale field hockey, women’s soccer and volleyball teams, has raised over $2,400 in donations in the spirit of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The three Bulldogs squads collected donations and sold special “Team Up to Fight Cancer” t-shirts at various Yale athletics contests over the weekend of Oct. 2, with the net proceeds being donated to the Yale Cancer Center.

Hearst’s Career Day Propels Yale Past Columbia, 3-1
Sophomore Bridget Hearst had a career-high 27 kills, the most in a single match tallied by an current Bulldogs, and seniors Cat Dailey and Alexis Crusey both recorded double-doubles as the Yale volleyball team won its 10th straight Ivy League road match with a four-set victory at Columbia on Saturday afternoon. Crusey’s 13 kills move her into fifth place all-time at Yale with 1,174 in her career.

Empire State Awaits Bulldogs for Ivy League Road Weekend
After suffering its first defeat of the 2009 Ivy League season, the Yale volleyball team looks to return to its winning ways in a pivotal Ancient Eight road weekend at Cornell and Columbia. The 12-2 Bulldogs, currently 2-1 in Ivy League competition, will challenge Big Red in Ithaca on Friday, Oct. 16 at 7 p.m. and then head to the Big Apple for a 5 p.m. showdown at Columbia on Saturday.

The last six times that the Yale volleyball team has suffered a loss, it has bounced back to win its next match. Friday night at Cornell was no different, as the Bulldogs rebounded from a tough five-set loss to Penn last weekend by sweeping Big Red by set scores of 26-24, 25-23 and 25-14. Senior Cat Dailey led all players with 12 kills. Freshman Kerry Clavadetscher dished out a match-best 34 assists, and junior libero Kelly Ozurovich picked up 25 digs in the three-set match.

Penn Outlasts Bulldogs in Five-Set Thriller
It has become a tradition when the Yale and Penn volleyball teams collide for the match to come down to a deciding fifth set. After the Bulldogs and Quakers split a pair of five-set nailbiters in 2008, Penn returned to the John J. Lee Amphitheater on Saturday afternoon for another classic encounter. Despite Yale breaking two match-point opportunities in a fourth-set rally that forced the deciding fifth set, it was the Quakers who came out on top by set scores of 25-23, 19-25, 25-21, 25-27 and 15-13. The five-set match featured 25 ties and 11 lead changes.

Red-Hot Bulldogs Sweep Princeton For Eighth Consecutive Win
Senior Cat Dailey slammed a match-best 14 kills and freshman Kerry Clavadetscher dished out 42 assists to lead the Yale volleyball team to a sweep of perennial Ivy League rival Princeton at the John J. Lee Amphitheater in New Haven on Friday night. The Bulldogs claimed the match by scores of 25-21, 25-22 and 25-21. Senior Alexis Crusey and sophomore Bridget Hearst joined Dailey with double-figure kills, posting 10 and 11 finishers, respectively.

Coming off of its seventh straight win, a straight-set thrashing of Brown on Friday night in the Ivy League opener, the Yale volleyball team will host perennial Ancient Eight powers Princeton and Penn in the first full weekend of Ancient Eight competition. In addition to the seven-match win streak overall, the 11-1 Bulldogs have won nine consecutive Ivy League matches and nine straight contests at the John J. Lee Amphitheater. Both of this weekend’s contests will feature live stats and will be streamed live via Yale All-Access.

Kerry Clavadetscher Named Ivy League Rookie of the Week
With the Yale volleyball team coming off of a convincing straight-set victory over Brown in Friday’s Ivy League opener, the Ancient Eight has recognized freshman setter Kerry Clavadetscher as the Ivy League Rookie of the Week. Clavadetscher, playing less than two complete sets in the sweep of the Bears, dished out a match-high 21 assists. She rounded out her statline with three digs and two blocks, including one solo effort.

Ozurovich Eclipses 1,000 Career Digs, Bulldogs Breeze Past Brown in Ivy League Opener
Junior libero Kelly Ozurovich had a match-best 15 digs to become the 12th player in Yale volleyball history to reach 1,000 for her career, as the Bulldogs swept visiting Brown on Friday night in the Ivy League opener for both teams. At 11-1, Yale matches the best start in program history, sharing the mark with the 2005 squad that finished 20-4 overall and 11-3 in the Ivy League. The Bulldogs took the match by set scores of 25-15, 25-11 and 25-11.

Bulldogs Host Brown to Open Ivy League Schedule on "Team Up to Fight Cancer" Weekend
With the non-conference season in its rearview mirror, the Yale volleyball team can now turn its focus to the ultimate goal for the 2009 campaign, repeating as Ivy League Champions. The first Ivy League test for the 10-1 Bulldogs will be Brown, which visits the John J. Lee Amphitheater on Friday at 7 p.m. Yale enters the contest in the midst of a six-match winning streak and, dating back to last season, an eight-match winning streak in Ivy League contests.

Alexis Crusey Earns Ivy League Player of the Week Honors
Coming off of a Most Valuable Player performance at the Yale Classic, senior outside hitter Alexis Crusey of the Yale volleyball team has been recognized by the Ivy League as its Player of the Week. Crusey, the third Bulldog to merit Ancient Eight Player of the Week honors in four weeks of competition, averaged 4.11 kills and 3.22 digs per set in a trio of straight-set victories for Yale this past weekend.

Bulldogs Sweep Binghamton to Win Yale Classic
Senior Cat Dailey posted her fifth double-double of the season with 12 kills and 12 kills, and senior Alexis Crusey reached double-figure kills for the third consecutive contest with a match-best 13 as the Yale volleyball team swept Binghamton on Saturday night to the win the 2009 Yale Classic. The Bulldogs took the match by scores of 25-16, 25-21 and 25-12. Crusey was named Most Valuable Player of the tournament after averaging 4.33 kills and 3.00 digs per frame against Binghamton and Central Connecticut State.

Crusey’s Double-Double Leads Yale in Sweep of Quinnipiac
Senior Alexis Crusey posted 11 kills and 11 digs, her second double-double of the season, as the Yale volleyball team notched its fifth straight win with a sweep of visiting Quinnipiac on Saturday morning at the John J. Lee Amphitheater in New Haven. Sophomore Katie Cordell posted a team-best and personal career high of 14 digs in the contest, while freshman setter Kerry Clavadetscher doled out 18 assists in just two sets of work. The Bulldogs won by set scores of 25-19, 25-18 and 25-16.

Balanced Bulldogs Sweep Central Connecticut State
Eleven different players recorded kills, led by 13 from senior Alexis Crusey, and junior Kelly Ozurovich tallied a match-best 22 digs to lead the Yale volleyball team to a sweep of intra-state rival Central Connecticut State in day one action of the Yale Classic. Freshman Kerry Clavadetscher played two sets at setter and piled up a match-best 30 assists. The baker’s dozen of kills by Crusey ran her career total to 1,104 and pushed her into sixth place on the Bulldogs’ all-time kills list.

Bulldogs Host Yale Classic in Final Non-Conference Weekend
Fresh off of a clean sweep of the Seton Hall Invitational, the Yale volleyball team enters its final weekend of non-conference action with a record of 7-1. The Bulldogs will close out their non-Ivy slate within the familiar confines of the John J. Lee Amphitheater at the 2009 Yale Classic. Yale will host intra-state rival Central Connecticut State on Friday night at 7 p.m. to begin the weekend. After the Bulldogs challenge Quinnipiac on Saturday at 11 a.m., Yale Classic play resumes at 1 p.m. with the Blue Devils playing Binghamton. Binghamton will stay in the Elm City to close out the weekend invitational against the Bulldogs at 7 p.m.

Bulldogs Team Up to Fight Cancer
In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Yale field hockey, volleyball and women’s soccer teams will combine efforts this October for the first-ever “Team Up to Fight Cancer” initiative. The teams will be selling t-shirts for $10 and collecting donations at home athletic events throughout the weekend of Oct. 2 to benefit the Yale Cancer Center, with the proceeds being designated for breast cancer research.

Laurel Johnson Honored As Ivy League Player of the Week
Senior middle blocker Laurel Johnson of the Yale volleyball team has been named Ivy League Player of the Week after earning a slot on the Seton Hall Invitational All-Tournament Team this past weekend. Johnson, a Cherry Hill, N.J. native playing in her home state, registered 3.22 kills per set with a commanding .424 hitting percentage and racked up a tournament-high 1.22 blocks per set as the Bulldogs swept through the competition to win the tournament crown. Johnson is second Yale player to earn Player of the Week honors this season, along with senior Cat Dailey, who took home the award on Sept. 8.

Senior Laurel Johnson hit a sizzling .440, registering 12 kills on 25 swings with just one error, as the Yale volleyball team coasted to a sweep of the New Jersey Institute of Technology in Saturday afternoon action at the Seton Hall Invitational. Johnson shared the team high in kills with senior Cat Dailey, the reigning Ivy League Player of the Year, who also added 10 digs to record her second consecutive double-double. Yale took the match by set scores of 25-23, 25-18 and 25-17.

Crusey Reaches 1,000 Career Digs As Yale Sweeps Seton Hall
Senior Alexis Crusey picked up 12 digs to climb into 10th place on Yale’s all-time digs list with 1,009 as the Bulldogs swept host Seton Hall on Saturday evening to win the Seton Hall Invitational. Senior Cat Dailey notched a match-best 10 kills and 13 digs, her third double-double of the weekend, to earn Most Valuable Player honors. She was joined on the All-Tournament Team by senior Laurel Johnson and junior Kelly Ozurovich.

Pair of Double-Doubles Guides Yale to Sweep of Hofstra
Senior Cat Dailey slammed a match-best 13 kills, including the 500th of her collegiate career, and added personal season high of 15 digs for her second double-double of the season as the Yale volleyball team downed Colonial Athletic Association foe Hofstra in straight sets to kick off action at the Seton Hall Invitational at Walsh Gymnasium on Friday evening. Freshman setter Kerry Clavadetscher also posted her first career double-double with a match-best 32 assists and 10 digs. Both totals marked career bests for Clavadetscher. In addition, senior Alexis Crusey recorded 14 digs to bring her career total to 997, three shy of becoming the fifth player in Yale history to tally 1,000 kills and 1,000 digs.

Trio of Matches Awaits Bulldogs at Seton Hall Tournament
After suffering its first setback of the 2009 season at the hands of Virginia Tech on Saturday at the American Volleyball Classic, the Yale volleyball team looks to get back on the winning track at this weekend’s Seton Hall Tournament. In addition to the host Pirates, the Bulldogs will challenge Hofstra and the New Jersey Institute of Technology. Yale enters the weekend at 4-1.

Virginia Tech Tops Yale in Battle of Unbeatens
The last time the Yale volleyball team played Virginia Tech, the Bulldogs swept the Hokies at the George Washington Invitational on Sept. 22, 1979. Nearly 30 years later, and only a few miles down the road at the American Volleyball Classic in Washington, D.C., Virginia Tech returned the favor with a straight-set victory over Yale by set score of 25-21, 25-15 and 26-24. The Bulldogs got a match-high 12 kills from senior Cat Dailey and six kills and a match-best 11 digs from senior Alexis Crusey. Crusey earned All-Tournament honors for her performance this weekend.

Bulldogs Power Past American, 3-1
Senior Alexis Crusey crushed a match-best 12 kills and junior Kate Parker distributed 26 assists to lead the Yale volleyball to a four-set victory against the defending Patriot League Champions, American University. The Bulldogs got kills from eight different players in the victory, including eight kills on 13 errorless swings (.615) by sophomore Taylor Cramm and nine kills on 17 swings (.412) by freshman Haley Wessels.

Fresh off of a clean sweep at the season-opening Yale Invitational, the Yale volleyball team hits the road for the first time in 2009 for a pair of matches at the American Volleyball Classic in Washington, D.C. The Bulldogs will face the host Eagles of American University on Friday night at 7 p.m. before challenging unbeaten Virginia Tech on Saturday morning at 11 a.m. Yale enters the weekend at 3-0.

Cat Dailey Named Ivy League Player of the Week
Senior outside hitter Cat Dailey, the reigning Ivy League Player of the Year, has been named Ivy League Player of the Week after earning Most Valuable Player honors at the 2009 Yale Invitational this past weekend. Dailey picked up where she left off in 2008 by scorching Georgetown, Fairfield and Colorado as Yale swept through the competition to win the preseason event. Dailey hit at a sizzling .487 clip, notching 39 kills on 78 attempts with just one attack error.

Senior Cat Dailey capped an outstanding weekend with an errorless 17-kill performance for the Yale volleyball team in a sweep of visiting Colorado in the 2009 Yale Invitational Championship Game. Dailey, who hit .487 with 39 kills and just one error at the weekend event, was selected as the Yale Invitational Most Valuable Player. The Bulldogs took the match in straight sets: 25-22, 25-11 and 25-9.

Balanced Attack Guides Bulldogs to Sweep of Fairfield
Nine different players recorded at least one kill for the Yale volleyball team on Saturday afternoon en route to a clean of the visiting Fairfield Stags on day two of the 2009 Yale Invitational. Sophomore Bridget Hearst was the lone Bulldogs to reach double figures with 11 finishers as the home team took the match by scores of 25-22, 25-15, 25-15.

Bulldogs Sweep Georgetown at Yale Invitational
The defending Ivy League Champion Yale Bulldogs opened the 2009 season in impressive fashion on Friday evening, sweeping the visiting Georgetown Hoyas in day one action at the Yale Invitational from the John J. Lee Amphitheater in New Haven, Conn. The Bulldogs got 14 kills apiece out of senior outside hitters Cat Dailey and Alexis Crusey, as well as 31 assists from junior Kate Parker, making her first career start at setter, en route to the straight-set victory by scores of 25-23, 25-18 and 28-26.

Yale Athletics Announces Video Streaming Partnership with Stretch Internet
The Yale University Athletic Department will team up with Stretch Internet to provide live, streaming video for home contests in five varsity sports: men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s ice hockey, and volleyball. Audio for the contests will be provided by WYBC, Yale’s student radio station.

2009 Season Begins With Yale Invitational
After 272 days to revel in the most successful season in program history, the defending Ivy League Champion Yale volleyball team goes back to work on Friday, Sept. 4 for the start of the 2009 campaign. The Bulldogs, who went 21-6 in 2008 and advanced to the NCAA Championship Second Round, will host Georgetown, Fairfield and Colorado as a part of the 2009 Yale Invitational. Live stats will be available for all six matches this weekend, and streaming video will also be available for the matches featuring Yale.

Bulldogs Hit the Beach with Fox 61’s “Zip Trip”
The Yale volleyball team relocated its morning practice on Friday from the friendly confines of the John J. Lee Amphitheater to scenic Hammonasset Beach in Madison, Conn. The defending Ivy League Champions hit the sand at Meig’s Point with the crew of the Fox 61 Morning News as a part of the “Zip Trip” segment, which highlights Connecticut-based attractions. Head Coach Erin Appleman and members of the Yale team fielded questions from anchor Jeff Valin, while host Logan Byrnes took a few practice swings with the team.

Bulldogs Receive AVCA Team Academic Award
With the 2009 volleyball season fast approaching, the Yale volleyball team continues to add to its list of achievements from the 2008 Ivy League Championship campaign. The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) has announced that the Bulldogs are among the recipients of the AVCA Team Academic Award.
