Yale to Host Penn for NCAA Tournament Berth on Sunday
NEW HAVEN, Conn. --After capturing a share of the Ivy League title, Yale will host Penn in a one-match playoff to decide who will represent the Ivy League in the NCAA Tournament on Sunday at 1 p.m. at the John J. Lee Amphitheater.
The Bulldogs and Quakers split a pair of matches this season, with each team winning on their home courts. Both teams finished the season with 12-2 conference records to tie for the top spot in the Ivy League.
On Wednesday, the Quakers (16-10 overall) won at Princeton in five sets to tie the Bulldogs for the top spot in the Ivy League standings.
Yale finished the regular season with an 18-7 record after a sweep of Cornell last Saturday to capture a share of its third Ivy League title in the last seven years.
