  • Bulldogs Earn American Volleyball Coaches Association Team Academic Award

    The Yale volleyball team had a memorable year on the court in 2011-12, winning their second Ivy League title in a row and advancing to the NCAA Tournament. The Bulldogs were quite successful in the classroom as well, receiving an American Volleyball Coaches Association Team Academic Award for 2011-12. The Bulldogs have now been recognized every year since the award was founded in 1992.

    Head Coach Erin Appleman will welcome a talented new class of Bulldogs to the volleyball program in 2012. Jesse Ebner, Karlee Fuller, Kelly Johnson, Maya Midzik and Christine Wu will look to make an impact this fall as Yale begins the defense of its 2011 Ivy League Championship.
  • Taylor Cramm Receives Nellie Pratt Elliot Award

    Taylor Cramm, who helped the Yale volleyball team win three Ivy League titles during her outstanding career, is the recipient of the 2012 Nellie Pratt Elliot Award, the most prestigious athletic award given to a senior female at Yale. The award was presented at today's Class Day exercises.

    The defending Ivy League champion Yale volleyball team completed the spring season in impressive form, going 4-0 in the spring tournament at John J. Lee Amphitheater. The Bulldogs beat Fairfield, Bryant, Bridgeport and UConn.

    Yale swept the Ivy League major postseason volleyball awards as sophomore setter Kendall Polan was named Player of the Year, while freshman outside hitter Mollie Rogers was selected Rookie of the Year by the League’s eight head coaches. Polan and Rogers were also both named first team All-Ivy. Freshman Allie Frappier and sophomore Erica Reetz were second team selections and senior Taylor Cramm earned honorable mention recognition.

Lee Amphitheater on Saturday afternoon. The scores of the match were 25-11, 25-15 and 25-11.
