Johnson, a Palos Verdes, Calif., native, performed well in front of the hometown fans at the University of San Diego Tournament, and on Tuesday she was rewarded by the Ivy League. A strong performance in the two matches at the Yale Invitational has earned senior Haley Wessels the Ivy League Player of the Week award. Wessels hit .558, averaged 3.25 kills per set and was named to the all-tournament team as the Bulldogs beat Big East foe Villanova and fell to Northwestern of the Big Ten.
