2013: Earned All-Ivy Second Team status...Named Ivy League Rookie of the Week twice and Ivy League Player of the Week once...Ranked among Ivy League leaders in conference-only matches - 6th in Ivy League in hitting percentage (.297) (only non-middle in top 10) and 8th in kills per set (2.97)...Only hitter in Ivy League top ten for both hitting percentage and kills per set...Had double-digit kills in 6 of 14 Ivy League matches...3rd on the team in kills per set...Had Ivy League-best in a four-set match with 20 kills against Columbia on Oct. 19..Produced 10 kills in NCAA Tournament match against Pac-12's Utah...Had at least 11 kils and hit at least .500 in four matches...Had 15 kills and hit .500 in his first match against eventual-SEC champ and nationally-ranked Missouri on Sept. 6...Had 15 kills and hit .542 against Columbia on Nov. 8.
Before Yale: Steinberg arrives from New Trier High School and Wildcats Volleyball Club in Evanston, Ill. She played varsity for three years at New Trier, serving as captain in 2012 when the team finished second at the Illinois High School State Championships. As a senior she was named Central Suburban League Player of the Year, as well as All Conference her junior and senior years. Steinberg was also named All State her senior year. As a member of Wildcat Juniors, Steinberg led her team to a 16th-place finish at the AAU National Championships her sophomore year while being named MVP of her team.
