Yale Falls to No. 1 Penn State; Ebner and Rogers Named to All-Tournament Team

Bulldogs Open Ivy Schedule Next Saturday Against Brown

University Park, Pa. -- The Bulldogs finished the weekend 2-1 after a three-set loss to No. 1 Penn State on Saturday night. 

Yale won matches against Eastern Kentucky and Albany, but lost to host Penn State in the final match of the Penn State Classic.  Yale stands at 6-3 overall with all three losses coming FBS conference teams.  

Jesse Ebner and Mollie Rogers earned spots on the all-tournament team.  Rogers led the Bulldogs with six kills against the Nittany Lions, who won by the scores of 25-16, 25-17 and 25-6.  Ebner, Brittani Steinberg and Kelly Johnson added four kills each for Yale, which fell to 6-3 overall.  

Penn State improved to 9-1 overall.   A crowd of 3,722 watched the match.

The Bulldogs open Ivy League play next weekend with a home match against Brown. The match is on Saturday at 5 p.m.
