NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- Kathryn Attar was named Ivy League Rookie of the Week for the third time this season, the league office announced on Monday.

Attar set the highest total for kills in a 2017 Ivy match when the Bulldogs needed it most. She had 28 kills, incluidng five kills in the deciding fifth set against Columbia, with the season on the line.

She hit .361 to lift the Bulldogs over the Lions and to its sixth league title in eight seasons.

"Kathryn was so good down the stretch, she really showed her ability to dominate this past weekend," Yale head coach Erin Appleman said.

For the weekend, Attar averaged 4.62 kills per set and nearly three digs (2.75) a set.

She has averaged 4.00 kills per set over Yale's last six matches, and set a season team-high for kills in a match three times.  She ranks third in the league in kills per set in conference only matches.

In addition, Tristin Kott and Kate Swanson were named to the weekly league honor roll.
The Bulldogs will host Princeton on Saturday at 7 p.m. in a one-match Ivy League Playoff to determine the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.  The teams split their two meetings this season.
