Epstein and Marvin are All-Northeast
Lead Team to 6th Place at NCAA Regionals
NEW HAVEN, Conn. - After their top performances at the NCAA Regional meet on Saturday, sophomore Liana Epstein and junior Elizabeth Marvin have been named to the All-Northeast team. Epstein was 11th out of 243 runners, clocking in at 21:05.2. Marvin crossed the line in 21:17.4, good for 17th overall. For their efforts, they were selected as members of the All-Northeast team.
Marvin and Epstein lead the Bulldogs to sixth place as a team, which is Yale's highest finish since 2005 when the team boasted an NCAA National Championship qualifier. The team relied on its depth, placing all five scorers in the top 53 to edge seventh-place Connecticut by four points.
Saturday's meet at the Audobon Golf Course in Amherst, N.Y., hosted by SUNY Buffalo, marked the conclusion of the season for the Bulldogs. Many of them will return to compete on the indoor track next month.
