Both Had Top-11 Performances at Heps

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Two members of the Yale women's cross country team were recognized for their efforts at Saturday's Ivy League Heptagonal Championships, where the Bulldogs placed fifth. Sophomore Liana Epstein and senior captain Nihal Kayali were named to the All-Ivy second-team for finishing in the top 14 of the race.

Kayali was ninth overall and first on the team while Epstein was right behind her in 11th. They lead the No. 22 Bulldogs to their fifth-place finish, just 15 points shy of their goal of breaking the top three. The team will get a chance to rebound when they host the NCAA Northeast Regional meet on Nov. 9 at Hammonasset State Park in Madison, Conn.
