Bulldogs Finish Third in Annual HYP Tri-Meet

PRINCETON, N.J. - The Yale women's cross country team finished third with 64 points in its season-opening meet with Harvard and Princeton at the West Windsor Fields Saturday. Princeton won the competition with 18 points and Harvard was second with 57 points.
Leading the effort for the Bulldogs was team captain Lindsay Donaldson, who ran the 5,100-meter course in 18:08.40, good for a third-place finish overall. Junior Bevin Peters was the Bulldogs' second finisher, running 18:55.60 for 13th place. Right behind Peters was sophomore teammate Stephanie Pearl, who was 14th in 18:57.60. Senior Ingrid Sproll was fourth for the Bulldogs and 19th overall, finishing in 19:22.20. Rounding out the scoring five for the Yale women was sophomore Allyson Rinderle, who finished 22nd in 19:26.90.
The Bulldogs will compete again next Friday at the Quinnipiac Invitational in Hamden, Conn.
