Yale Places Seventh at Lehigh

Bethlehem, Pa. - The Yale women's cross country team placed seventh of 35 teams at Lehigh's Paul Short Run. Sophomore Cara Kiernan paced the Bulldogs with a sixth-place finish and a time of 20:54.00.

Kiernan was less than 30 seconds behind champion Angela Homan of Auburn. Ashley Campbell was the second Eli to finish, coming in 47th in 22:06.65, less than a second ahead of Vanessa Everding.

Also scoring for Yale were Kathryn McKinstry in 61st and Susan Chan in 63rd. Melissa Donais was close behind in the 65th spot, and Claire Hamilton placed 90th in the 241-runner field.

Tennessee won the event with 53 points. Yale totaled 225.
