Women Earn 16th Place Finish at NCAA Pre-Nationals

With Cara Kiernan and Lindsay Donaldson pacing the Elis, Yale earned a 16th place team finish at the NCAA Pre-Nationals, hosted by Indiana State University in Terre Haute, IN.

Kiernan and Donaldson finished back-to-back, with Kiernan running to a 21:11.0 finish and Donaldson coming in at 21:11.3. The tandem came in 19th and 20th overall.

Yale's Susan Chan ran a time of 22:18.1 to finish 115th, while captain Anne Martin finished with a time of 22:44.2, good for 159th place. Claire Hamilton's time of 22:48.1 earned her 170th overall out of 252 runners.

Vanessa Everding and Katherine McKinstry rounded out Yale's competitors, running times of 23:20.1 and 23:43.9.

The Elis travel to New York for the Heptagonal Championships, held at Van Cortlandt Park, on October 29.
