Kiernan Qualifies for NCAA Championships

The women's cross country team finished fourth overall at the NCAA Regionals in Boston, earning 135 points in the competition.

Cara Kiernan and Rebecca Hunter were both named All-District with their finishes, while Kiernan earned an automatic bid to the NCAA Championships.

With a time of 21:09. Kiernan came in fourth overall, which qualified her to travel to the NCAA Championships next Monday in Cedar Falls, Iowa.

Hunter finished 24th overalll with a time of 22:51, which earned her All-District honors along with her teammate.

The fourth place finish for the Elis, who came in behind Providence (49 points), Columbia (62 points) and Dartmouth (103 points) was the best in nearly a decade.

The Regionals were held in Boston's Franklin Park, while the NCAA Championships will be held next week in Iowa.
