BRONX, N.Y. - The Yale women's cross country team concluded their season Saturday afternoon at the ECAC championship at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx, N.Y. The Bulldogs finished fifth overall with a score of 154 points, behind team champion Villanova, which won the meet with a score of 43 points.
Senior Ingrid Sproll led the Bulldogs in her last cross country appearance of her collegiate career, finishing 17th in 18:29. Junior Kelli Buck was second for the team, crossing the finish line in 23rd place (18:38). Next was senior Meredith Leenhouts, who finished 31st in 18:46. Fourth for the Bulldogs was senior Elizabeth Calle (43rd - 19:12) and junior Kathryn Schleckser closed the scoring for Yale with a 59th place finish in 19:35.
With the finish of ECACs also comes the conclusion of team events for the Yale women's cross country 2007-2008 season. Members of the cross country team will race at the Yale Season Opener, the Bulldogs' first indoor track and field meet, on December 8th at Coxe Cage.
