Yale Places Second at ECACs

New York, N.Y. - All five scoring runners finished in the top 25 as the Yale women's cross country team placed second at the ECAC Championship at Van Cortlandt Park, just two points behind champion La Salle.

Anne Martin was the first Bulldog across the line, finishing 10th in 18:15. Ashley Campbell was four places and five seconds back, three spots and two seconds ahead of Betsy Boucher.

Five Yale runners finished ahead of the fourth La Salle runner, but two Explorers placed in the top three, including individual champion Jenna Darcy. In the end, La Salle had 68 points to Yale's 70.

Yale's Katie McKinstry plaecd 20th in 18:25, and Susan Chan was 25th in 18:33.

The Bulldogs finished eight points better than third-place Cornell. William & Mary was fourth with 90 points, followed by Georgetown with 112.
