With a time of 20:57.7, freshman Cara Kiernan ended her rookie campaign with a strong showing at the NCAA Championships at the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls, IA. Kiernan finished in 61st place overall, beating out over three-fourths of the individual field of 252.
Kiernan was Yale' s lone representative after a fourth place finish at the NCAA Regionals two weeks ago. The freshman was the only runner not from Columbia, Dartmouth, or Princeton to finish in the top 15 at the Heptagonal Championships prior to that, which earned her All-Ivy honors.
