Donaldson, Bulldogs Earn All-Academic Cross-Country Honors

Feb. 22, 2007

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Yale women's cross country team earned Division I All-Academic Cross Country Team honors by the USTFCCCA, and junior Lindsay Donaldson (Lincoln, Mass.) earned individual honors. The Bulldogs had the second-highest GPA (3.510) among all of the Ivy League teams honored.

To be honored as an All-Academic Team, teams must compete in an NCAA regional meet and have at least a cumulative team GPA of 3.0. Yale finished seventh at the NCAA Northeast Regional last November.

To earn All-Academic individual honors, runners were required to have at least a cumulative GPA of 3.25. Donaldson, who placed third at the National Championship, has been named Academic All-Ivy each of the last two years and is a five-time All-American.

Stanford (3.470) won the USTFCCCA's All-Academic Women's Cross Country Team of the Year honors based on its first-place finish at the 2006 NCAA Championships. The Team of the Year is awarded to the highest-finishing school at the NCAA Championships that meets All-Academic team qualifications.
