Hunter, Donais Return To Lead Bulldogs

Sept. 8, 2003

Despite losing two of its most prolific performers in history to graduation, the 2003 Yale women's cross country team looks to build upon the success of last season when the Bulldogs finished 2nd at the Heptagonal Championships. The loss of twins Kate and Laura O'Neill, who finished 2nd and 13th respectively at the 2003 NCAA championships, will no doubt push the younger. The Bulldogs will be led by Captain Rebecca Hunter, who finished 24th at last year's Heps. Sophomore Melissa Donais also returns after a breakout freshman season when she finished 19th at the Heps Championship.

The Bulldogs open their season at the Georgetown Invitational in Washington, DC on Saturday, September 13.
