The Yale Bulldogs finished behind Princeton and Providence for third place at the Fordham Cross Country Invitational, this weekend in the Bronx. The Elis finished with a total of 72 points, finishing in front of Navy, who finished 4th with 127 points.
Lindsay Donaldson was the first Bulldog to finish the race, finishing 6th with a time of 18:27. Junior Katie McKinstry finished right after Donaldson, with a time of 18:29. Senior Katie Matlack and junior Meredith Leenhouts finished 16th and 17th respectively.
Out of a field of 210 runners, all Yalies finished in the top 125. In her first race, freshman Bevin Peters finished 42nd, with a time of 19:27.
Judging from this first meet, the womens cross country team has a lot of talent and should be looking towards a successful season.
