PRINCETON, NJ - The Yale men's fencing team ended its second day of competition at the Ivy League Round-Robins ranked fifth overall. While the Elis suffered two defeats against co-champions Columbia and Penn, they fought valiently against strong opponents.
Three members of the team narrowly missed All-Ivy honors. The top six individuals in each weapon are recognized for their performances. Walter Musgrave finished the meet ranked 7th in saber overall, with Cameron Allen and Jonathan Xu ranked 8th in foil and epee, respectively.
The next competition will be NCAA Regionals, held on March 11, in which ten of the Bulldogs will face top-performing opponents from other schools with the hopes of qualifying for nationals.
