Yale Seeks Crucial Win at 1 p.m. Saturday
The No. 5 ranked Bulldogs, coming off a 20-8 win at home over Dartmouth, play their final home league game of 2019 on Saturday at 1 p.m. Yale (7-2, 3-1 Ivy) hosts Brown (4-6, 2-1) on Senior Day in a contest airing live on ESPN+ and Stretch Internet.
Brown leads the all-time series against the Bulldogs, 36-27-1, but Yale has taken the last two regular-season meetings, including the last contest at Reese, an 18-12 decision in 2017.
The Elis set a school record for goals in a 27-15 win over the Bears at Providence a year ago. Yale, which scored 20 goals on 82 shots last week against the Big Green, needed just 67 to win by a dozen in 2018 against Brown. Joseph Sessa hit the net 4 times and had 5 points last year for the Blue.
Yale, looking to secure a spot in the Ivy Tournament, celebrates 11 members of the Class of 2019 on Senior Day this weekend. The Elis bounced back from a 3 OT loss at Penn with a 12-goal margin of victory last week against Dartmouth. Jackson Morrill had 4 goals and 5 points and Matt Brandau had 3-2-5 as the Bulldogs scored 4 times with the extra man.
Brown, which has wins over Harvard and Princeton, is coming off a loss at home to Penn last Saturday. The Bears also have wins over UMBC and Quinnipiac this season.
