Assisted On Both Goals In 2-2 Tie With No. 4 Michigan State

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Paolo Carroll played a key role in Yale's 2-2 tie with No. 4 Michigan State on Friday, assisting on both goals. That performance has earned him a second straight Ivy League Rookie of the Week honor.

Carroll helped the Bulldogs jump out to an early lead when he deftly tapped a rebound across the box to Will Emerson, who quickly finished in traffic in front of the net at 24:26.

The Spartans scored the next two goals, but Carroll helped tie the game in the final minutes. He deflected a long forward ball from Justin Lobe to Nicky Down, who fired a rocket into the top right corner from 25 yards.

Downs did not go unrewarded for his highlight-reel goal. He was named to the Honor Roll.

The Bulldogs are back in action on Tuesday when they play at Bryant at 4:30 p.m.
