Bulldogs Put Up Fight, Fall to Rochester

Yale loses 6-3 to No. 2

NEW HAVEN, Conn. — The Yale Men's Squash Team fell to No. 2 Rochester on Sunday afternoon in a very tight contest. 

First to play were No. 3 Harrison Gill, No. 6 Tiber Worth and No. 9 Yohan Pandole. All three matches were close, but only Pandole came away with the win. He swept his opponent 11-8, 13-11, 11-6.  

Up next was No. 2 Nadav Raziel, No. 8 Jay Losty and No. 5 Tyler Carney. Raziel won his match handily, 11-6, 11-4 and 11-2. Losty and Carney went back and forth with their opponents before suffering tough losses.

Going into the final three matches, the Bulldogs were down 4-2, having to win all of them to secure the victory. Left to play were No. 1 Spencer Lovejoy, No. 4 Calvin McCafferty and No. 7 Eric Kim

In the early going, Lovejoy and Kim were both down 0-2 and McCafferty was at 1-1. All three took their matches to five games, but Kim was the only one to come away with the win. 

The Elis look to rebound next Wednesday at No. 4 Trinity in a 6 p.m. start.
