Hailing from St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands, Kieran follows teammate and friend George Gleason '01 to Yale. Holder of numerous VI records, Kieran is a five-time medallist at the Caribbean Swimming Championships and a several-time finalist at the Caribbean and Central American Championships. In 2003, he represented the VI at the Pan American Games and was a member of the sixth place 400 freestyle relay team with Gleason and brother Morgan Locke '08. In 2004, he represented the VI at the Short Course World Championships, and more recently the Long Course World Championships in Montreal, Canada, in the summer of 2005. Kieran has been a member of Yale's conference team for the last two years highlighted by a 9th place finish at the 2005 EISL Championships in the 100 back (50.79) and a member of Yale's 3rd place 800 freestyle relay (6:39.41). An economics and international studies double major, Kieran hopes to pursue graduate coursework following graduation from Yale, while continuing to train for a berth on the 2008 Virgin Islands Olympic Team.
