PRINCETON, N.J. – The Yale men's track and field team completed another successful weekend at Princeton on Sunday at the ECAC Championships, marking the last chance to qualify for the NCAA First Round. The Bulldog highlight of the day was the second-place finish of CJ McCord in the high jump.
The day began with the high jump at 9.30 a.m. in which senior McCord looked to continue the good form the Bulldogs had shown on Saturday. He jumped brilliantly to finish second only on count-back with a height of 6' 09".
Following him was fellow senior Austin Laut. With his fourth-consecutive IC4A qualification already secured, Laut was looking to build momentum toward Jacksonville. He did so with a strong vault of 16' 03.25" which was good enough for fifth on the day.
The Bulldogs will now await the announcement of the qualifiers for the NCAA First Round in Jacksonville, Fla.
