NEW HAVEN, Conn. — The Yale men's cross country team travels to Louisville, Ky., on Saturday, where the Bulldogs will compete in the NCAA Pre-Nationals meet. The meet will pit the Elis against many of the top teams in the country.
The Bulldogs did not compete at this meet last season, so this will be the first time on the course at Louisville for many athletes on the team. But the team has seen strong performances from underclassmen in the first few meets of this season, including at the Panorama Farms Invitational where four placed in the top 25. They will likely look for strong performances from Nick Dahl, Jonathan Lomogda and Armstrong Noonan — all of whom have shone for the Bulldogs so far.
This meet brings together the most geographically diverse set of teams that the Bulldogs have competed against all season. It also serves as a preview of the NCAA Championship course for the end of the season. There will be two races: a seeded race and an unseeded race, whose participants are decided based on national and regional rankings. The first men's race begins at 10:00 a.m., and it will be livestreamed on FloTrack.org. A full recap will be available after the meet.
