Yale Earns NCAA Bid For Third Straight Year

NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- The Yale women's crew has been selected to participate in the NCAA Team Championships on May 28-30 at the CSUS Aquatic Center in Sacramento, Calif. The Bulldogs, who earned an invitation to the team championships for the third straight year, will field two boats of eight rowers each and one boat of four rowers.

Yale's varsity eight boat, which is ranked 6th in the nation in the latest USRowing poll, has an 8-2 record and placed third in the Grand Final at the EAWRC Sprints on May 9. Last year at the NCAA Championships, the Bulldogs finished 10th. Harvard is the defending champion.

The following teams join Yale in the field: Brown, California, Harvard, Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State, Princeton, Virginia, Washington, Washington State and Wisconsin. Four at-large eights also were selected: Notre Dame, Southern California, Tennessee and Texas.
