  • Kimball Joins Staff As Assistant Coach

    The Yale women’s hockey team welcomes Grant Kimball, a coach with 19 years of experience, as a new assistant for the 2019-20 season. Kimball joins Yale having served as an assistant and associate head coach at several Division I schools including North Dakota and the University of Vermont.

  • Vanstone, O'Brien Lift Bulldogs Over Dartmouth

    With a man-advantage and 2:54 left in overtime, Rebecca Vanstone lifted Yale over Dartmouth 1-0 with her 13th goal this season. Senior goaltender Kyra O'Brien, who entered the game in the second period, stopped all 18 shots to get the victory in net.

    Sophomore forward Charlotte Welch opened and closed the scoring with her first two-goal night, as the Bulldogs fell 6-3 to No. 9 Colgate at Starr Arena on Friday.

    Despite taking an early 1-0 lead on No. 5 Princeton (17-3-5, 14-1-3), the Bulldogs were defeated by the Tigers 4-2 in the White Out for Mandi game on Saturday at Ingalls. First-year and sophomore forwards Rebecca Vanstone and Greta Skarzynski found the net for Yale.

  • Yale Hosts Quinnipiac, No. 5 Princeton in White-Out Weekend

    With the ECAC field tightening up, the Yale Women’s hockey team will play host to two conference foes this weekend, but the biggest story will not be on the ice. On Friday, the Bulldogs welcome New Haven-county rival Quinnipiac (9-16-3, 6-9-1), as we celebrate National Girls & Women in Sports Day. On Saturday, the Blue takes on No. 5 Princeton (15-3-5, 12-1-3) in the annual White Out for Mandi game, commemorating the life and legacy of former player Mandi Schwartz.
  • Hofmann Blanks Big Green, Bulldogs Win 2-0

    With the ECAC hunt heating up in the final weeks of the season, the Yale women’s hockey team secured another two points, blanking Dartmouth 2-0 on Saturday afternoon at Thompson Arena. Junior goaltender Tera Hofmann pitched a shutout, making 32 stops on 32 shots.

    Back home following last weekend's road trip, the Yale women's hockey team tied RPI 1-1 after 65 minutes of play at Ingalls on Friday. The Bulldogs knotted the score thanks to first-year forward Rebecca Vanstone late in the first period, her seventh goal in as many games. 
  • Vanstone Earns ECAC Rookie of the Week

    First-year forward Rebecca Vanstone has been firing on all cylinders this season for the Yale women’s hockey team. That continued last weekend in Yale’s sweep of Brown as she earned ECAC Rookie of the Week honors. The Mississauga, Ontario native collected six points (3G, 3A) in the home-and-home series with the Bears.
