NEWPORT, R.I - Junior skippers Chrissie Klingler and Louisa Nordstrom were honored at the 2019 Sperry Women's National Championship held at Sail Newport in Rhode Island.

Both Bulldogs were recognized as ICSA Women's All-American Skippers, a coveted award given to only eight female skippers this year. This is a first-time recognition for Klingler, while Nordstrom previously received this honor after winning B-division at the 2018 Sperry Women's National Championship at Old Dominion University.

Nordstrom was additionally a top three finalist for the 2019 Quantum Women's Sailor of the Year award. The honor ultimately went to Ragna Agerup of Brown University, a former Olympian who won A division at the event this year.

The awards are decided by a representative committee which used a multi-faceted evaluation matrix to decide on which sailors they will bestow the prestigious honor of All - American.
