Single Game Saturday, Doubleheader Sunday

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Yale opened Ivy League play in impressive fashion last weekend, taking two out of three games from Penn at 5K Corral Field at DeWitt Family Stadium. Now the Bulldogs head out on the road for the first time in league play, traveling to Princeton for a three-game series.  UPDATE - due to field conditions, the teams will play a single game on Saturday starting at 3 p.m. and a doubleheader on Sunday beginning at 12:30 p.m.

Yale will bring a bunch of positive momentum to New Jersey after a thrilling victory over Wagner in the second game of a doubleheader on Wednesday. The Bulldogs scored three in the seventh inning to tie and then two in the eighth to pull out the win.

Offensively, Yale has five players hitting better than .300, led by Sydney Grobman at .386. Grobman also leads the Bulldogs with three home runs and 16 RBI.

Terra Jerpbak has excelled both at the plate and in the circle. She has a .346 batting average and a stellar 1.76 earned run average.

Princeton (3-12) is playing its first Ivy League games. The Tigers have played a challenging non-conference schedule that includes games with Arizona State, Wisconsin, Stetson and Central Florida.

A pair of upperclassmen, senior Kaylee Grant (.342) and junior Megan Donahey (.341) are pacing the Tigers at the plate, while underclassmen sophomore Allie Reynolds (35 1/3 IP) and rookie Ali Blanchard (29 2/3 IP) have worked most of the innings in the circle.
