HANOVER, N.H. – The Bulldogs wrapped up day one of the Ivy League Heptagonal Championships at Dartmouth this weekend. The team earned six points on the day thanks to a strong performance by senior Dana Klein in the 3,000-meter run. Meanwhile, sophomore Lillian Enes earned a spot in the 400-meter finals for the Bulldogs.
Enes qualified for the final of the 400-meter dash by winning her heat of the event in a time of 56.57s. This is just the latest in a string of outstanding performances by the sophomore, as she earned not only a personal best, but the fourth-fastest time in Yale history. She also earned a spot in the ECAC Championships for her time. The final of this event will be contested tomorrow afternoon.
Meanwhile, Klein earned third to cap off the evening in a hard-fought 3,000-meter run. The senior captain held tight throughout a tough race to finish in 9:44.22 for third. The senior captain has enjoyed a strong season after coming off a personal best performance at the Valentine Invitational.
